Since the launch of RokGallery we had an incredible amount of features requests. Although we couldn't satisfy all of them, we are very happy to announce RokGallery 2.0 which includes many new features as well as bug fixes.

I'm happy to inform that all of the directory-naming issues are now resolved, and that it's again safe to use the WordPress updater to update your version of the Gantry Plugin. From now on every time we release the new version of the Gantry plugin, it will be added to the plugins directory so everyone can easily stay up-to-date.

We recently discovered that one of our web-servers was misconfigured and was not sending emails from the "contact form" to our mail system. This went unnoticed for several weeks because the other web-servers were configured properly, and we were getting the majority of mail that was sent. However, this means that some email was not sent properly, and only now have we received them en-masse.

A couple of days ago we were notified about a SQL injection security vulnerability in our Ajax-enabling RokModule extension. This extensions is generally not used by itself, but rather it enables Ajax for the following extensions for both Joomla 1.5 and 1.7:

We have been receiving lots of emails, facebook comments, and questions on the forum related to our plans for Joomla 1.5, and the upcoming release of Joomla 2.5. I thought I would take this opportunity to reiterate the planned Joomla releases cycle and our stance on supporting them.

We have been running our Drupal themes club for nearly two years now and have worked diligently to bring our club and community formula to Drupal. During that time we have striven to take the RocketTheme philosophy of great designs, oodles of features, and a great community, all at reasonable price and make that available to this fantastic platform. However, we have to be cognizant of the ever-changing market and also our own business strategy, and so it is with a sad heart that we have decided to “sunset” this club from RocketTheme. Drupal is a powerful and complex CMS that requires a lot of manpower to develop for and support it. We had hoped that over time that the Drupal club would grow and become self-sustainable but we have not seen that happen and we can not keep it running indefinitely.

What makes this such a powerful extension is that it has been built to be highly plug-able with the ability to support almost any data source. At launch we plan to include Joomla, K2, ZOO and Seblod CCKs, with more platforms being added in future releases. Alongside the plug-able platform capability, the layouts such as Tabs, Features, Headlines, and Lists, and specific themes for these layouts can easily be added via site templates.

Since the release of Joomla 2.5 there has been a particularly annoying “duplicate template” bug that becomes clearly evident when you install or update a template. As our primary business involves templates, and as a result the vast majority of our users install templates, this has caused a great deal of confusion and consternation among our users.

It's flexible architecture allows you to build complex templates in no time. Extending your web design cannot be faster.

A hard but exciting year with Joomla 1.5 - 1.6 - 1.7

About 2 weeks ago, we released a trailer of JA Elastica. The trailer introduces how the Elastica template "transforms" dynamically into different design states in order to shine on desktops, touch devices (iPad, kindle fire..), iPhones or other mobile devices.

JoomlArt's Joomla! 2.5 Roadmap
Preliminary testing reports have revealed some minor issues with our templates and extensions when used with Joomla! 2.5. The power of JAT3 will make upgrade tasks easier and faster. However, we still do not release anything without routine testing / checks. No hasty releases will be done just to be first to the post. Customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal.

Joomla 2.5 has been released a few weeks ago and we have updated 25 Joomla templates (for JATC) to version 2.5. Including 30 extensions (16 plugins, 13 modules, 1 component). During the Joomla 2.5 update progress we fixed 421 issues (bugs, errors etc.) all within 1 week.
